Stolen - Nissan Navara - Dunscroft

Yesterday Doncaster East Neighbourhood Officers were made aware of a stolen vehicle tracking to an address in Dunscroft. 

Officers carried out a search of the area which led them to a specific property with a locked garage. 

Officers could see a vehicle matching the description inside the garage. 

The owner of the property was cooperative and allowed Officers to examine the vehicle.

The vehicle had been cloned to a high standard and sold to a unsuspecting purchaser.

The vehicle has been recovered and enquiries are ongoing.

When purchasing a vehicle please ensure you carry out all the necessary checks to ensure the vehicle being sold is legitimate. 

Offenders can be very skilled in changing a vehicles identity, so ensure you know what you are looking for and ask for the history of the vehicle.

This vehicle will now be returned to the rightful owner and the recent purchaser is at a significant financial loss.

 If unsure, walk away and if you suspect it has been cloned, report it to the Police.
