Town Centre Patrol

Hello all,

Today, myself and PCSO 73333 Cornell were actively patrolling Rochdale Town Centre. During our patrols we received numerous reports regarding a large group of youths congregating near to the Metrolink Tram Stop. We attended the location and detained a male who was subsequently stop searched, but resulted negative. Further officers attended the location and we managed to disperse the youths.

Your Rochdale Town Centre neighbourhood team are fully aware of the persistent ASB and congregation of youths in this area and around Baillie Street. We are tirelessly working closely with partner agencies to come to a proactive and positive solution.

We have patrolled both Riverside and Rochdale Exchange, and also detained another male on Riverside who was subsequent to a stop search, but again resulted negative.
