Arrests this set of shifts have included 5 males for shoplifting across our area including Asda, CoOp, Home Bargins & the BP garage. Our thanks to all the staff at these locations for helping us with identification, statements & providing CCTV. Prolific shoplifting offenders have a huge impact on our local business.
A teen male has been arrested for Indecent Images. Taking, making, sharing and possessing indecent images and pseudo- photographs of people under 18 is illegal. A pseudo-photograph is an image made by computer-graphics or otherwise which appears to be a photograph. This can include photos, videos, tracings and derivatives of a photograph & data that can be converted into a photograph. Please be extremely mindful when taking & sharing photographs of yourself, once you press send these images are no longer under your control.
The Chelmsley Team have been pro-actively patrolling this set, with the purpose to deter or detain suspect/s committing robberies against our residents. Officers have adapted their shifts, with some working in plain clothing along with the Drones team to coordinate patrols. Crime Updates Around 23:48hrs on 11th April, a male dressed all in dark clothing entered a bungalow on Ely Close and stole jewellery from the elderly residents inside. He left via the rear door into the garden. If you have any CCTV or information regarding this incident, please contact us quoting 20/210479/26 Overnight 11th-12th April, a green tent box was stolen from a Land Rover parked on Grayling Walk. Between 11th-12th April, a wallet was stolen from inside a Kia Ceed parked on Pike Drive. Offenders also removed both registration plates from the vehicle. Between 1st-13th April, Vehicle number plates were stolen from a Peugeot 208 parked on Ashwood Drive. Overnight 13th-14th April, a VW vehicle was entered on Silver Birch Road and wallet, clothing & jewellery were stolen. Around 12:00hrs on 14th April, a robbery occurred on Forth Drive. A male offender wearing a mask approached 2 females and took their gold jewellery. Between 14:00-14:45hrs on 15th April a secured pedal cycle was stolen from Keele House Forth Drive. At 19:19hrs on 15th April, offender attempted to steal a Toyota vehicle from North Solihull Sports Centre, Conway Rd. When wallets/purses are stolen all lines of investigation are followed up if Bank cards are used after the offence.
