Dear Resident, St. Alphege Crimes update. Wednesday 8th – Thursdays 16th April 2026. Attempted Burglary of a home. 8/04/1pm – 4.15pm. A residential flat on Station Road Solihull Town Centre had its front door forced but no entry was gained. Residential Burglary of an unconnected building. 11/04/26 at 6pm.A storage box in a carpark off Dorchester Road was broken into and a foldable bicycle was stolen from it. Other Criminal Damage. 11/04/26. Bryanston Road. A resident noticed after returning from a vacation that their garage door had been damaged from a crowbar or similar tool. No entry gained. Attempted Theft of motor vehicle. 8/04/26. 2pm – 2.40pm. Four offenders on two mopeds tried to break off a front disk lock of a motor bike parked on Poplar Road, Solihull Town Centre. 10/04/26 3.26pm. Six offenders on three mopeds with faces covered, tried to steal a motorcycle parked on Station Road Solihull Town Centre. Three offenders were arrested by Police and two mopeds that they were riding were recovered. Theft from motor vehicle. 10/04/26 5.15pm-6pm a vehicle parked at Bannatyne’s Heath Club had its rear Registration plate stolen. 9/04/26 6pm – 7.15pm a van parked in The Arden Tennis Club car park off Sharmans Cross Road, had its door forced and tools stolen. 9/04/26 5pm -6pm a Ford Transit van parked at Bannatyne’s Heath Club had its side door forced but nothing was reported stolen. Theft or unauthorised taking of a pedal cycle. 9/04/26 10am. A persistent male on foot near the college kept on asking the victim if he could try his bike. The victim eventually agreed. The Offender rode off on the bicycle and didn’t return through Tudor Grange Park. Registration plates have been unscrewed or pulled off vehicles around Solihull. Please replace standard Registration plate screws, fixing pads, with anti-tamper screws fixings available from motor factors or on line. Please make sure your sheds, garages side gates are locked. Move your wheelie bins inside your property away from any side gate entry. Please don’t leave your property in darkness, leave a light on. Ongoing patrols are continuing. Thank you to the residents who are helping Police with their investigations. If you see a vehicle in your area that you don’t recognise, parked up, please contact Police on 101 or use the West Midlands Police web site to log it. The location of new vehicle deposition sites are of interest to us. Good News. St. Alphege NPT have issued three CPW’s (Community Protection Warnings) to Shop lifters and to an ASB offender. The New electric Lime Bikes now in The Solihull Town Centre have been reprogrammed to cut out when ridden on Solihull High Street as part of it is a no cycling zone. Ensure that all garden furniture is stored away in a garden shed along with any tools to avoid aiding offenders in committing burglary. Ensure that Wheelie Bins are not stored near to fences and are chained together to prevent them from being used as climbing aids or storing objects in that may aid an offender to commit a crime.
