Shoplifting

Local officers were called to reports of a male shoplifter at a store in CORNHILL, Dorchester this evening. Officers were quickly on scene and gained a description. A search was conducted and a male matching the description was locate in the area.

A search was carried out on the individual where a number of stolen items were recovered and a knife was located.

The male will be attending court in due cause.

It is not acceptable to be in possession of knives in public. Those found with knives can expect to be sent to court to be dealt with. Likewise there is no place in Dorchester for those that steal from store and the local Neighbourhood Team will continue to take action against those perpetrators.
