Fake QR Codes

Dear Residents

We ask you to remain vigilant in the area, scam parking tickets with QR codes are being placed on vehicles within the Swansea/ Sandfields area. Although we have not received reports of any vehicles being targeted within the Gower area, we want to make you aware of this potential fraud. 

These notices may look official but they are not genuine. Real parking tickets issued by traffic wardens do not include a large QR code. 

It is important to:

⚠️Do not scan the QR code

⚠️Do not enter any personal or payment details 

⚠️Genuine parking tickets issued by authorities will direct you to the correct system to pay

If you believe you have become a target through the fraud QR parking ticket, you can report this via the Swansea Council website. If you believe you are a victim of fraud, please report it to South Wales Police 101 or 999 in an emergency.
