Can you help? 

We are appealing for witnesses and information following a serious collision at the junction between the A167 Darlington Road and the B1263.

The collision took place at approximately 6.30pm on Thursday 9 April 2026 and involved a motorcycle and a car.

The Honda CB500 motorcycle was being driven in north-westerly direction along the A167 Northallerton Road, and the grey VW Polo car was turning right onto the A167 from the B1263.

Both the motorcycle rider and pillion passenger sustained significant, life threatening injuries. They both remain in hospital at this time.

Both occupants of the VW Polo also sustained significant injuries and were transported to hospital for treatment with one still remaining in hospital at this time.

The road remained closed for several hours to allow for collision investigation work and recovery to take place.

If anyone witnessed the collision, or has any dashcam footage from that area around the time of the collision, and leading up to it, please get in touch.
