Dear Resident,
For the first three months of this year your Neighbourhood Policing Team in the Wisbech area have been busily working on their priorities.
They have continued to target people in and around the town who commit drug dealing offences. Stop searches have also been completed, along with the high visibly patrols to deter those dealing drugs.
Anti-social behaviour in the town centre was another area they looked at, particularly in relation to e-scooters and street drinking. This work included seizing several illegal e-bikes and e-scooters.
Both these areas involved high visibility patrols as a tactic. Thank you to everyone who came to say hello to us while we were out and about.
The team’s new priorities for April-June include: Tackling anti-social behaviour (ASB) in the town centreWorking with partner agencies to tackle street drinkingWorking with the business community to combat retail crime and ASBIn June we will be holding a quarterly priority meeting where you can raise any ongoing concerns and help influence the issues the team focuses on. The date will be sent out via this email system – it’d be great to see you there.
