Dear Resident,
For the first three months of this year your Peterborough North Neighbourhood Policing Team have been busily working on their priorities.
They set a clear focus to tackle anti-social behaviour (ASB). The first of these geographical areas was the Bretton Centre, with officers investigating reports of ASB at The Cresset and working closely with partners to address the issue.
A perpetrator was identified and is now working with the youth justice diversion team.
The team have also conducted regular patrols, liaised with businesses and youth services and attended multi-agency meetings to coordinate a response and share information.
ASB at Peterborough City Hospital was another area of concern, with officers conducting high visibility patrols and engaging with staff, security, patients and anyone acting anti-socially. We’re pleased to report a reduction in offences in recent weeks.
Finally, the anti-social use of e-Scooters was the third area officers focussed on. They seized multiple scooters and illegal e-bikes, as well as engaging with riders during patrols and days of action.
The team’s new priorities for April-June include: Anti-social behaviour in West TownYouth anti-social behaviour and violence at the Cresset CentreAnti-social behaviour at Peterborough City HospitalIn June we will be holding a quarterly priority meeting where you can raise any ongoing concerns and help influence the issues the team focuses on. The date will be sent out via this email system – it’d be great to see you there.
