Operation Soundjump

Today officers from Bow West and Bromley North Safer Neighbourhood Teams together with the Mets Road Reduction Team carried out a joint operation along Mile End Road E3 from Merchant Street to Regents Canal to address a number of local concerns. Officers in uniform supported by plain clothes units concentrated on a portion of Mile End Road taking in the Tesco Express, Sainsburys and the Coop and were on hand to deal with shoplifting, theft and robbery to traffic related issues associated with the improper usage of electric bicycles and vehicles contravening the road traffic act. Combined efforts resulted in the following: 2 Arrests, 11 Traffic Offending Reports issued, 8 Electric powered bicycles seized, 2 penalty notices issued and 1 Community resolution issued.  Local Store managers when engaged with were very appreciative of the efforts made today.
