Good Afternoon Mr Gee,

Thank you for taking the time to complete our priority survey.

After reading your responses, and your previous survey responses, I can see there is a distinct lack of trust in the police. I am curious to know what has caused this, whether it is historical, or more of contemporary feeling. 

I note that there have not been any calls from you to police and I am concerned that your feelings are based on what is read in the news / media. While I know that there are many articles in the media about officers under investigation or have been dealt with by the courts, I feel the need to try and reassure you that, for every 1 officer that is investigated, there are hundreds if not thousands of hard working officers that do their best to help their communities. Although we cannot help what result the courts issue out.

I do hope that my officers will be able, through media messaging and actions on the street, to make some headway into rebuilding the trust I hope you once had in police.
