Dear Resident,
For the first three months of this year your Peterborough East Neighbourhood Policing Team have been busily working on their priorities.
Tackling drug use and dealing in Welland and Eastgate have been key focuses for the team. They conducted a warrant where they seized drugs and a knuckle duster with an integrated knife and a man was arrested.
Other activity related to drug dealing and use includes two men who were stopped in Welland Road with a large quantity of cannisters of nitrous oxide, the arrest of a man on suspicion of a number of thefts, multiple drug-related stop searches and the arrest of two men in Central Park and Century Square for drug offences.
Further enforcement activity and proactive patrols are planned for the coming weeks.
Another priority area for the team was nuisance vehicles and speeding in Dogsthorpe and Eastfield. Officers conducted multiple speeding checks, with two vehicles also being seized for not having insurance.
Although considerable progress has been made in these areas, the team has decided to keep their priorities the same for April - June to continue this good work.
In June we will be holding a quarterly priority meeting where you can raise any ongoing concerns and help influence the issues the team focuses on. The date will be sent out via this email system – it’d be great to see you there.
