Road Safety Reminder - "THE FATAL FOUR" |
Road Safety is a priority for my colleagues and I. The most serious and fatal collisions involve one or more of the “Fatal Four” driving behaviours:
- Speeding – Driving too fast reduces reaction time and increases the severity of collisions. Be sure to slow down and drive to the road and weather conditions. - Mobile phone use – Using a phone while driving is distracting and dangerous. No call or message is worth a life. - Drink or drug driving – Alcohol, drugs, and some medications seriously affect judgement and reaction times. If you’re not fit to drive, don’t. - Not wearing a seatbelt – Seatbelts save lives. Always wear one, and ensure all passengers do too.
Please consider sharing this post with your family, friends and local community. Drive safely. Every journey matters.
