Hello Resident,
✅ Good News from Your Local Policing Team ✅ The last week has been a busy week for the Sutton Trinity Team who continue to work hard in an attempt to tackle some the keys issues identified within the ward. These issues include anti social behaviour with the use of often illegal bikes as well as the ongoing problem with shoplifters.
At the beginning of our set, we welcomed the Mounted Unit to Sutton who patrolled Sutton Park and the Town Centre and also saw the off roaders and drone pay attention to the Falcon Lodge Estate. The horses took fully advantage of Sutton Park and interacted with members of the public and were able to access areas within the park usually inaccessible to local officers either in a vehicle or on foot.
On 12th April '26, we arrested a male who had been identified for a number of thefts in area at local shops. He was charged for these offences and will soon be appearing at court. Not only are the police looking to prosecute people, but we are also trying to support these individuals who are often vulnerable, to prevent them from having to commit crime to fund their addictions. The Offend to Recovery team have successful secured some rehabilitation for an individual who was regular committing crime but is now engaging with the police and other agencies to help him move away from criminality.
If you've had to visit Good Hope Hospital for whatever reason, you may of seen the local Designated Neighbourhood Officers or PCSO out and about, we held a drop-in surgery at the start of the week and have also been doing regular patrols around the grounds and along the corridors.
Hot off the press another male has been arrested by the team who was wanted for failing to appear at court. He will appear at court within the next 24 hours.
There has also been a dispersal order in place, covering the Sutton Town Centre and Wyndley Leisure Centre, following reports of anti-social behaviour. The local Designated Neighbourhood Officers have been patrolling these areas to ensure everybody is abiding by the dispersal. During these patrols, one young male was seen to be breaching this dispersal and was subsequently arrested and dealt with appropriately. The Designated Neighbourhood Officers are working with other departments to help support these youths long-term to explain the impacts anti-social behaviour has on the public.
