Neighbours Alliance Project

Cumbria Neighbourhood Watch Association are currently working with the British Red Cross in relation to a Neighbours Alliance Project which is being provided and organised by the British Red Cross. Details of the pilot are as follows:

‘Neighbours Alliance Project’ will explore the feasibility of developing hyper-local resilience by building neighbour to neighbour support networks – this is currently underway with discussions with Neighbourhood Watch (NW) and the BRC UK Office who are preparing a short, light touch session to talk to 2 or 3 groups through basic preparedness information on a website for people who aren't already thinking about emergencies, to offer guidance about what they could start doing.

The idea is to offer this opportunity to small groups of Neighbourhood Watch to see what impact etc the programme offers and secure feedback/assessment etc.

With the above in mind, would you and some of your members be interested?  It would involve a member of the British Red Cross attending a location in your area to provide the information that is anticipated to be no more than an hour.
