Good News Stories W/E 12 April 2026

Good Afternoon Resident

The team wanted to share the good news stories that have occurred in the local area over the last two weeks, following the work the team has been doing. This is the work that the teams of Beckenham Town and Copers Cope, Clock House, Kelsey and Eden Park and Shortlands and Park Langley have been a part of. 

The teams have assisted in the search of a stolen vehicle that was being tracked by the owner, this was done alongside the response team and the vehicle crime team. 

The Clock House team have been patrolling hotspot areas where there has been an increase of crime, there has also been a contact session held close by for some of the residents to come and speak with officers to raise any concerns they may have. 

The Beckenham Town and Copers Cope team have been working closely with Waitrose around shoplifting and repeat offenders, they are continuing to work alongside the store and the other shops along the high street in order to tackle the shoplifting issues.

The Shortlands team have been working alongside the housing associations in order to protect some of the vulnerable residents across the ward, visiting addresses to build on intelligence that we have been receiving from the local community. These have seen positive results and continued work will take place.

The Shortlands team have been working alongside multi-agencies and other police teams to try and stop a fire starter, this joint work will be continued over the coming weeks to try and catch the individual. 

The teams have been staffing up Bromley Response team this week and have completed a number of calls/incidents around the Bromley Borough. 

Beckenham Community Meeting 

Beckenham communities together with the Police, Council and partner agencies getting together to discuss what's important about Beckenham. This is the chance for the residents and businesses of Clock House, Kelsey & Eden Park, Beckenham Town & Copers Cope and Shortlands & Park Langley wards to come and meet the local police teams covering those areas, the senior officers from Bromley police, the Council and partner agencies to discuss what is happening in Beckenham and the local issues that matter to you.
