Burglary appeal: Can you help? |
||
|
Dear Sir/Madam We are appealing to the Southsiders community for information following a burglary at a home on Belmont Road. The burglary took place before the 31/03/2026. Entry was gained through the cellar entrance at the rear of the property. It appears that unknown persons have removed all copper piping of the central heating. The property was left insecure by the offenders to aide a speedy collection of the copper at a later date as it was placed in an outbuilding to make it easy for collection. Did you see anything suspicious or have any information that might help enquires? Please get in touch with us by calling 101 and quoting incident number 00204-i_31032026. DC 3423 Keith Ramone If you aren’t comfortable contacting us directly, you can pass on information anonymously to the independent charity, Crimestoppers, by calling 0800 555 111 or by visiting their website: www.crimestoppers-uk.org Thank you for your help. It is only by the police and the public working together that we can prevent and detect crime. Kind regards, PCSO Carol Marsh Whether your property is empty or not, remember that security of sorts will prevent a burglary. CCTV, Ring doorbells, security lights, Neighbourhood Watch and good neighbours can help make it difficult for offenders to gain entry.
