Patrols in the Rochdale Town Centre |
||
|
During the school holidays and half term period, Greater Manchester Police are carrying out high visibility patrols across Rochdale Town Centre. Officers are proactively engaging with the public and have been dealing with groups of youths congregating in the area.
Police are working closely with Youth Services and partner agencies to engage positively with young people, offer support where appropriate, and prevent issues from escalating. The focus is on early intervention, safeguarding, and keeping everyone safe.
Parents and guardians are strongly advised to know where their children and dependants are, who they are with, and what they are doing during the school break. Please ensure they understand the consequences of breaking the law and the impact anti social behaviour has on local businesses, residents, and visitors.
Young people are reminded that anti social behaviour, disorder, and criminal activity will not be tolerated. Groups causing issues are being challenged, appropriate action will be taken where necessary, and CCTV is actively monitoring the town centre.
Police are out in force with a robust, no nonsense approach. Anyone committing offences can expect to be dealt with accordingly.
This work is about keeping Rochdale Town Centre safe, welcoming, and enjoyable for everyone. Please cooperate with officers and report any concerns.
