Forsythe Gardens Neighbourhood Watch

Hello Roy,

Further to our conversation just now. My name is Alasdair Bavister and I'm a Membership Services Administrator (MSA) for OurWatch, the national Neighbourhood Watch organisation and also a member of the executive of the Association of Dorset Watches (ADW).

We're contacting all the registered Neighbourhood Watch Main Coordinators in Dorset by phone, to find out how things are, and to confirm that they and their schemes are active.

You're registered as the Main Coordinator for Forsythe Gardens Neighbourhood Watch scheme and, currently, are the only registered member of the scheme. You told me you're moving but hoping that a neighbour will take over the role of Main Coordinator.

It would be good if your neighbours can agree to register themselves with Neighbourhood Watch. They can do this by going to OurWatch online and register themselves with Forsythe Gardens Neighbourhood Watch at:

https://www.ourwatch.org.uk/joinNW

They can then put in their postcode to find local schemes, the first of which listed is Forsythe Gardens, and can sign up to join the scheme. Alternatively they can click on "Become a Member" “Join Us”.

Good luck with getting your neighbour to take on the role of Main Coordinator. If they agree, they need to sign on, join and register (as above) themselves as Main Coordinator. and then ask neighbours to sign up and join NW Scheme Forsythe Gardens. If they do that and get members, the scheme needs to be visited and confirmed by a NW MSA (see above) who will then ask for Police approval. This is something I can do if your successor Main Coordinator gets in touch with me when ready. 

Once you move you can amend your address and, if you wish, look up and join the local NW scheme, or simply maintain your membership of NW, without being attached to a particular scheme.
