BIKE REGISTER EVENT - Watermead Country Park - Saturday 25th April 2026 - 9am to 12pm

Dear Residents

PC 1947 Dave BENNETT, PCSO 6174 Jon HARRISON & PCSO 6024 Ella PROUD will be undertaking a Bike Register Event alongside the regular Park Run at Watermead Country Park on Saturday the 25th April 2026 between 9am and 12 midday.

This is an excellent opportunity to have your bicycle registered on a national database which assists the Police recovering stolen bikes when thieves attempt to sell bikes stolen. Additionally, there the Beat Team for Birstall & Wanlip and the PCSO for neighbouring Syston & Thurmaston beat will be happy to answer any queries, question or concerns visitors may have, and there may be some freebies to boot!

Additionally, Green Watch from Birstall Fire Station (for Leicestershire Fire & Rescue Service) will also be in attendance to offer advice and guidance around fire prevention and E-bike safety guidance.

Everyone is welcome and it would be great to speak to as many people as available. PC 1947 Dave BENNETT, PCSO 6174 Jon HARRISON (for the Birstall, Wanlip & Broadnook beat) and PCSO 6024 Ella PROUD (for the Syston, Thurmaston & the Wolds Villages) will be undertaking a Bike Register Event alongside the regular Park Run within King Lear's Car Park at Watermead Country Park in Syston and will be accompanied by Birstall Fire Station Green Watch (for Leicestershire Fire & Rescue Service), both additionally offering Crime and Safety prevention advice.
