Friday 10th April 2026 Sussex Alerts - Eastbourne Police
Dear Residents,
Please find below the latest Sussex Alerts from Eastbourne Police.
Meet Police Officers from your Neighbourhood Policing Team event
DATE: Wednesday 15th April TIME: 1000-1200
Out walking the dog in the sunshine?
As spring arrives, many fields across Sussex are home to newborn lambs and calves.
Even the calmest dogs can unintentionally frighten or distress livestock, and dog owners can face unlimited fines if a dog chases or worries livestock, including sheep, cattle, llamas and alpacas.
These types of incidents can cause serious stress, injury, or loss of unborn young; as well as be very upsetting for farmers who have worked hard to care for their animals.
Please be a responsible dog owner:
-Always keep your dog on a lead around all livestock -If unsure what’s ahead, put your dog on a lead -Stick to public footpaths where possible, find local paths on footpathmap.co.uk
Thank you for helping protect animals, farmers, and the countryside this spring.
Half-term police station visit
Eastbourne Police Patrol Base (Hammonds Drive) was pleased to welcome another group of youngsters this week for a hands‑on visit with local officers during half-term.
Keep your home safe this Spring
