Tackling ASB in Derwenthorpe |
||
|
Community Update – Increased Foot Patrols in Derwenthorpe North Yorkshire Police have increased foot patrols in and around the Derwenthorpe area in response to recent reports of anti-social behaviour (ASB). Officers and PCSOs will continue out high-visibility, proactive patrols at key times to deter offending, provide reassurance to residents, and engage directly with the local community. These patrols will focus on addressing ASB concerns and identifying individuals involved in ongoing issues. As part of this proactive approach, officers will also be taking action against illegal e-scooters and e-bike use, including stopping riders and seizing when being used unlawfully. This is aimed at improving safety for pedestrians and reducing nuisance behaviour. We encourage residents to continue reporting incidents of ASB or illegal activity, as community information is vital in helping us target patrols effectively. Anyone with concerns can report them via 101, online, or in an emergency by calling 999. North Yorkshire Police remains committed to working with residents and partner agencies to keep Derwenthorpe a safe and welcoming place for everyone. | ||
