Dear Resident,

We were due to hold a PACT Meeting on Monday 13.04.26, however due to a period of purdah, councillors are unable to attend.

Definition and Purpose

Purdah, also known as the pre-election period or period of heightened sensitivity, is the time between the announcement of an election and the formation of the new government. During this period, civil servants and ministers must avoid making announcements or decisions that could be seen as giving an advantage to any political party or candidate. The aim is to ensure elections are conducted fairly and without undue influence from those in power, maintaining impartiality in government operations and public communications

We will cancel this meeting and the next meeting will be in June. Thank you for your understanding.
