Community Safety Message- Warmer Weather Reminder

Good Evening Residents,

As the weather improves and more people may be spending time outdoors, we'd like to remind everyone to take a few simple steps to help keep your homes, vehicles and neighbourhood safe.

Protect your vehicle & home:

Never leave windows open or doors unlocked on unattended vehicles even for a short time.

Do not leave valuables (phone,bags,tools) on display- take them with you or store them out of sight.

Always double check your vehicle is locked before walking away.

Remove keys from ignition, even for short stops.

Always lock front doors and windows even when you are at home or in the garden.

Keep gardens and sheds secure- lock tools and equipment away.

Consider using outdoor lighting or motion sensors to deter unwanted visitors.

By taking these simple precaution, we can all help reduce opportunistic crime and help keep our community safe.

If you see anything suspicious, please report to either 101 or 999 in any emergency situations.
