Southcoates Ward April Update |
||
|
Dear Resident,
There's been some change in the past couple of months with the local Neighbourhood Policing Team. Due to government funding in neighbourhood Policing we have 7 new Police Officers at Preston Road Police Station. Some of those are replacing lost staff and a few are an uplift in total staffing.
PC 2000 Katie Shenton is the new Southcoates Neighbourhood Beat Officer alongside PC 181 Dan Slater and PCSO 7655 Alex Jones.
With an uplift in staff the hope is that we will be able to be more proactive and more present in the community. If you see any of us out and about please come and speak to us!
In terms of what we've been doing in the community the past couple of months, these are the highlights:
5 Prolific shop lifters have been arrested, charged, and imprisoned for multiple theft offences from local stores.
A large group of youths causing anti-social behaviour around The Freedom Centre and Morrisons Daily have been dealt with and referred for diversion with Youth Justice.
An elderly and vulnerable 89 year old man was safeguarded when NPT officers arrested a neighbour for burglary who was then remanded to court. The victim was also provided with security equipment free of charge, funded by Hull City Council.
2 local males from Belmont Street and Estcourt Street were arrested for drugs offences, a large amount of drugs and cash was seized.
Please remember to keep in contact with us at Preston Road Police Station. We really do rely on information from the local community and without you we're not able to get these results.
Please also consider completing this short 2 minute, 4 question survey. It helps us to know what issues there are on your street and what your priorities are for us to tackle.
Kind Regards, The Southcoates Team | ||
