OPERATION TACKLING MOTORBIKE RELATED ASB AND CRIME |
||
|
On Saturday 4th April officers from our neighbourhood team were joined by colleagues from CPART in an effort to combat the ongoing issue around both motorcycle related crime and those used to cause anti-social behaviour (ASB). The operation saw Police Constables in both hi-vis & plain clothes target known locations or addresses of those linked to ASB motorcycles as well as crime. We had enlisted the services of one our drone operators but sadly the high winds kept it grounded. The Tamworth cadets went door-to-door to reassure residents in recently affected areas (Amington) and our PCSOs conducted patrols of some of the cycle-paths used as well as the canal towpath. One small motorbike was seized during the operation and a stolen motorbike later recovered in the Glascote area, adding to others located in the past week. 3 x Community Protection Warnings (CPW) issued 2 x Community Protection Notices (CPN) issued 1 x Section 59 issued 1 x vehicle ticket issued for failing to display L plates. We will be conducting further operations in the near future. To report ASB or pass information you can do so by calling 101 or using our online form or Live Chat at https://orlo.uk/O6C9H
