An update regarding conviction of a drug dealer! |
||
|
Good evening Southall Green,
We wish to share some good news regarding one suspected drug dealer we had targeted from the beginning with warnings. Ahmed SAFI was homeless sleeping rough between Southall and Hillingdon typically staying within the Southall Green ward. We had suspected that Ahmed was involved in drug dealing which we could not prove at the time. So we started with using powers related to anti social behaviour. We had issued an Anti-Social Behaviour warning regarding their behaviour had escalated to an Community Protection Warning. His behaviour did not improve following this warning which then escalated to a Community Protection Notice.
At this stage he had requirements not to enter any area covered by a UB1 or UB2 postcode, not to carry drug paraphernalia or engage in behaviour considered anti social. Breaches of this would result in an arrest which is where he came to our attention last. Coming across our attention he seemed panicked and eager to get away which resulted in being searched while under arrest. Police had found a large quantity of Class A drugs hidden on his person, as it turns out he had been dealing drugs in Southall! Following this arrest he had been remanded for Court with the evidence stacked against him had been found guilty.
Ahmed SAFI had been sentenced to Prison for two counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs which resulted in THREE years of imprisonment and one count of obstruction/resist a constable in execution of their duty which resulted in ONE month of imprisonment. These sentences will run concurrently with each other but had been one of the bigger street level dealers which is now off the streets! We hope this piece of good news reassures you on what we are doing as information like this cannot be shared until they have received their sentencing at Court.
