Dear Residents, PCSO Gilkes here this is a quick round up from me and the rest of the Hillfield’s neighbourhood policing team. What`s been happening: We have conducted high visible patrols around your neighbourhood, aiming at the hotspots for anti-social behaviour. We have conducted joint visits, donating toys and conducting checks on vehicles. COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: Your local Neighbourhood team have been out and about engaging in the community. This week we have been conducting joint visits with the Design Out Crime Officer (DOCO) at hotspot locations around the Hillfields area. These visits and walk throughs are to discuss other ways to improve the area to deter further anti-social behaviour reoccurring. The team have been out visiting the Harmony Family Hub this week to donate a box full of toys. This is to help the hub and bring some joy into the community. The Hub was very thankful for this, and we were very delighted to be able to do this and help our local communities. We held a Cuppa With Coppa event at Mosaic Church Hope Centre, Vauxhall Street. This was a successful event, meeting new residents and informing residents of different sessions that run in the local neighbourhood. We have been completing visits to the local shops in the area to give them reassurance and crime prevention advice. ARRESTS: This week your local officers made some great arrests this set. Altogether there were 3 arrests made regarding known offenders causing issues within the local neighbourhood this week. OTHER HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEK: We have been issuing more CPWs this week to those that have been identified in causing anti-social behaviour in your local neighbourhood. We have also been out issuing CPNs to those that have breeched their CPW. We are completing checks on vehicles in the neighbourhood and will be seizing them if they have no TAX, MOT or insurance. Make sure your vehicle is taxed, mot and has insurance to prevent losing your car. GREAT NEWS: Your local neighbourhood team are looking a setting up a Street watch in Hillfields. Street Watch Team is a community patrol initiative that helps you make a difference where you live. Street watch gives you and your community an opportunity to keep your area safe.
