A message from East Coast Chief Inspector Alina Ames ahead of the holiday season:
We are looking forward to welcoming many of you to our vibrant Lincolnshire Coast this Easter and over the summer holidays.
Looking after little ones or vulnerable adults If you’re looking after little ones or vulnerable adults, use a ‘Sandi Starfish’ wristband which helps reunite families should they become separated from one another. They are free and can be collected from multiple venues displaying the Sandi Starfish posters and signs.
Atlantis Alliance Hub Remember to visit the new Atlantis Alliance Hub, based at Queen's Park Beach Huts in Mablethorpe. It brings together a wide range of vital national and local organisations under one roof. From sea and beach safety to crime prevention, scam awareness, caravan security, domestic abuse support, and flood alert information, the hub acts as a one-stop centre for safety, advice, and reassurance. Not to mention stickers and colouring books for the little ones!
Finally, here are a few simple steps that can make a real difference in keeping yourself and others safe across the entire coast. Look out for each other If you see someone in trouble, call us - early intervention prevents harm. If a situation feels tense, walk away early. Incidents involving violence often start small.
You’ll see more officers on foot and on vehicle patrols - come and say hello. We’re here to help, to listen, and to keep this a safe and welcoming place everyone can enjoy. ------------------------------ Report it You can report any concerns a number of ways: Via our website: https://www.lincs.police.uk/ro/report/ By calling 101 By speaking with us while we’re on patrols Or anonymously, via the Crimestoppers website: https://crimestoppers-uk.org/give-information/forms/give-information-anonymously Always call 999 in an emergency
