SECOND BOY ARRESTED IN RELATION TO STABBING

Detectives have made a second arrest after a boy was stabbed in Tamworth.

Just before 8.30pm on Monday (30 March), we were called to a report of a stabbing inside McDonald’s on Elmhurst Drive (Ventura Park).

A teenage boy was taken to hospital with a stab wound to his lower back.

His injuries are not life changing or life threatening and he has since been discharged.

A 15-year-old boy, from the Birmingham area, was previously arrested on suspicion of affray.

Another 15-year-old boy, from the Tamworth area, has now been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent.

Both boys have been released on conditional bail while our enquiries continue.
