Stolen Vehicles |

Adur & Worthing PoliceGood Evening Resident, Have you noticed a vehicle in your area that doesn’t seem right? Has it been parked near your home for several days, and you don’t recognise it? Stolen vehicles are often left in residential areas shortly after being taken. This is known as a “cooling-off” period. During this time, criminals move the vehicle a short distance from where it was stolen and leave it parked for a few days. This allows them to check whether the vehicle has a tracking device that could help police recover it. If you believe you have spotted a suspicious vehicle, please report it by calling 101. Try to provide the registration number and, if possible, the VIN (usually found at the bottom corner of the windscreen). By staying alert and reporting anything unusual, we can work together to keep our communities safe.
