Anti Social Behaviour in Skelmersdale Town Centre

Last night we spent a considerable amount of time with a large group of youths after reports of them emptying litter bins, using lighters with aerosols and also smashing bottles around Tawd Valley Retail Park and at the front of Nye Bevan.

A number of youths have been stop searched for offensive weapons.

This is an issue affecting our community , we received many calls in relation to this type of behaviour and patrols are being stepped up in the area with Task Force and Neighbourhood Officers carrying out regular patrols.

This evening a moped was stopped and seized on Forest Drive after a report of two males wearing balaclavas were seen riding on this bike. One of the males was searched for an offensive weapon and was later taken home to be spoken to in front of his parents.
