Message from Chief Inspector Richard Vale As I begin my role as the lead for Redbridge Neighbourhood Policing, I want to thank residents, partners, and businesses for their continued support. Our focus remains clear: reducing crime, tackling anti‑social behaviour, and delivering a visible and responsive policing service that meets the needs of our communities. The latest data reflects both progress and areas that require ongoing attention. Your neighbourhood teams remain committed to problem‑solving, targeted activity, and strong partnership working to keep Redbridge safe. Crime Performance Overview Current 4‑Week Period: 1 March – 25 March 2026 Anti‑Social Behaviour (ASB) Personal Robbery Theft From the Person Residential Burglary Vehicle Crime Shoplifting Violence With Injury Possession of Weapons Good News Round‑Up – Highlights Across Redbridge, our teams have delivered outstanding results through proactive policing, partnership working, and swift intervention. Here are some of the notable successes: 1. Operation Ecuador – Long‑Term Problem Solving in Manford Way Officers in Aldborough and Hainault worked with Project ADDER to tackle persistent ASB, theft, and drug‑related harm. The structured approach combines intelligence, prevention, and enforcement, and is now being developed as a model for use across Redbridge. 2. Persistent Shoplifter Jailed for 20 Weeks Ilford Town Centre Team identified and arrested a prolific offender repeatedly targeting local stores, resulting in a 20‑week custodial sentence and improved reassurance for businesses. 3. Four Cash‑Point Thieves Arrested in Minutes Redbridge CCTV detected a group targeting vulnerable residents at ATMs. Officers intercepted the suspects within minutes, arresting four and seizing a cloned‑plate vehicle. 4. Knuckle Dusters Seized by Seven Kings Officers Following stop‑and‑search activity prompted by the smell of cannabis, officers recovered a pair of knuckle dusters and arrested the suspect for possession of an offensive weapon. 5. Facial Recognition Deployment Leads to Multiple Arrests A Live Facial Recognition operation in Ilford resulted in seven arrests, including suspects wanted for fraud, burglary, and assault. 6. Cycle Patrol Officers Track and Arrest Violent Offender Working in close partnership with CCTV, neighbourhood officers located and detained a male involved in a stabbing in Valentines Park, ensuring a swift and safe arrest. 7. Off‑Duty Officer and PCSO Apprehend Violent Suspect An off‑duty detective intervened after witnessing an assault in Ilford, with support from an off‑duty PCSO who recognised the suspect. The male was detained and later charged.
