We are writing to make you aware that there has been a recent increase in parcel thefts across the Ealing Common area. Offenders are targeting parcels left in communal hallways, doorsteps, and unattended delivery areas.

Your awareness and quick action can help prevent further offences.
Below is some practical crime‑prevention advice to help keep your property safe.

✅ Crime Prevention Advice

1. Delivery Arrangements

Use delivery options requiring a signature whenever possible.

Consider redirecting parcels to a secure location such as a workplace, trusted neighbour, or designated parcel locker.

Provide clear instructions for couriers not to leave parcels in communal entrances or outside your home.

2. Home Security

Ensure communal doors fully close and are not left on the latch.

Report any faulty entrance systems to building management.

Consider installing a video doorbell or CCTV system compliant with privacy guidelines.

3. Be Discreet

Avoid leaving empty packaging for high‑value items visible outside your home.

If you’re expecting a delivery, try to track it so that parcels aren’t left unattended for long periods.

If you see anyone:

Loitering around communal entrances

Following delivery drivers

Attempting to access mail areas

Checking multiple doorsteps for parcels
