**Stolen Vehicle recovered**

On Saturday 28th March, officers were made aware of a vehicle that had been abandoned on a residential road. Officers attended the location and conducted an external examination, which showed that the vehicle a 2014‑plate model was displaying a 2016 registration mark. All visible identification locations had been deliberately concealed.

Officers forced entry to the vehicle in order to inspect the stamped‑in identification number. Using Auto Crime identification methods, officers were able to confirm the identity of the vehicle.

Checks revealed that the genuine vehicle had been stolen from within London. The vehicle was subsequently recovered, and arrangements were made for it to be returned to the insurance company.
