Trentham and Hanford - Burglary Barnwell Gr, Suspected Attempt Burglary Wilson Rd, Neighbourhood Watch update and Community updates

Good afternoon everyone, 

Please find at the bottom of this e-mail the locations I have patrolled over the last couple of days and the dates, times and locations of upcoming Police Street Surgeries.

Burglary – Barnwell Grove

Suspected attempt Burglary -Wilson Road

We have received a report of a residential burglary at Barnwell Grove, Hanford. On 29/03/26 between approximately 17:00 – 22:00 hours, suspect(s) have gained entry to an address by smashing a window at the rear of the property. Officers, including our foensic teams are currently investigating this incident. 

The incident number is 755 of 29/03/26

On 30/03/26 at 02:34am approximately, a male has tried to gain entry to a property on Wilson Road, in close proximity to Kings Rd and Niall Rd. 

No entry to the property was made. 

The suspect is describe as wearing a hoody, face covering and North Face jogging bottoms. 

The incident number is 53 of 30/03/26.

Neighbourhood Watch Update 

Yesterday (29/03/26) myself and a colleague, PCSO Eggleton, attended the locations of recently created Neighbourhood Watch Zones and placed Neighbourhood Watch signs on lampposts. 

Welcome packs were also delivered to all addresses within Stuart Avenue.

I am now up to date with all of the Neighbourhood Watch locations and will now now be looking to set up another zone on the Meadow Ln estate in the very near future. 

Once I have confirmed where the zone will be, I will let you know.

Bainbridge Rd – suspicious vehicle(s) update

On a recent Street Surgery I was made aware that historically suspicious smells had been detected coming from vehicles that had parked up on Bainbridge Rd in the evening time. I have been attending this location frequently, including on my evening patrols (where this photo was recently taken). 

I am happy to report that I have not noticed any recent issues and we have not had any further reports. However, should any issues occur at this location, please do report it by calling 101 (non-emergencies) or 999 (emergencies).

Patrols of this location will continue. 

Community Events  

On 28/03/2026 myself and PCSO Eggleton attended a Fundraiser at the Hanford Cricket Club. 

The event looked great, but unfortunately we could not stay as long as we would of liked as we were called away to an incident. 

Tomorrow (31/03/26) another brilliant event is taking place at the Trentham Community Learning Centre, Allerton Rd at 2pm.

Tomorrow I will be attending the Hanford Court Care Home at 2pm for the monthly residents meeting, where I am looking forward to saying hello to residents.

I will be doing my best to attend the community library straight after.
