Neighbourhood Alert – Motorbike Recovered Following PCSO Observations |
||
|
Local officers have recovered a motorbike following an incident that happened in the evening of the 28th of March 2026 in which it was by a Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) being ridden along the Greenway in Rushden. This behaviour raised immediate concerns due to the risks posed to pedestrians and other users of this shared public space.
After witnessing the motorbike being ridden in the area, officers carried out thorough area searches in an effort to locate the rider and vehicle. As a result of these searches, the motorbike was later found inside a block of flats. At the time of recovery, no rider was present, and no-one came forward to claim responsibility for the bike.
The motorbike has now been seized under police powers while officers continue to investigate. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the identity of the individual responsible for riding the motorbike on the Greenway in Rushden and to confirm the ownership status of the vehicle. Anti-social behaviour and illegal vehicle use remains a priority for local officers due to the safety risks and disruption it can cause to the local community.
We would like to thank those residents who have continued to report nuisance motorbikes and suspicious activity in the area. Information from the public greatly assists us in identifying offenders and taking positive action to keep the local community safe.
