Bulletin 6 March 13th – March 27th 2026
Dear Residents
After over 3 years in Tandridge I am moving on to a new role as the Reigate and Borough Commander. I am very proud of the Tandridge Safer Neighbourhood Team and the work they have done across the Borough. I have really enjoyed my time in this role, having worked Tandridge many times in different roles over the years it was great to have the oversight and responsibility for the area. The team have strong relationships with local partners and are continually building on the already established community engagement work they already undertake. I am leaving Tandridge in safe hands, with experienced Inspector, Rob Staplehurst taking over the role. Thank you all for your support.
Inspector Lyndsey Whatley Tandridge Safer Neighbourhood Inspector
CAN YOU HELP US
We are currently investigating an assault and attempted robbery in Godstone.
Shortly after 5.30pm on Monday night March 23rd, a teenage boy was approached and assaulted by two other teenage boys at the bus stop next to the Shell petrol station on Godstone Hill, in what we suspect was an attempted robbery. He was left lying on the ground after a member of the public challenged the suspects and they fled along Godstone Hill in the direction of Godstone High Street.
The victim got on a bus shortly afterwards without giving his details and we have not yet been able to identify him. We are now appealing for the public’s help in finding him so we can check on his welfare and fully investigate this offence.
The victim is described as a White teenage boy about 17-18 years old, with a medium build. He was wearing a black jacket, Nike trainers and a grey or white hoodie with the hood up. He was also carrying a black rucksack.
We are also currently working to identify and locate the two suspects involved.
The first suspect is described as a White teenage boy with dark hair aged between 16 and 18, wearing a grey tracksuit, black trainers, and white socks.
The second suspect is described as a Black teenage boy, also aged 16-18, with a skinny build and short, dreadlocked hair. He was wearing black tracksuit trousers and a black hoodie.
We know from CCTV that there were vehicles passing on the road and people in the area at the time of the offence. If you were travelling along Godstone Hill between 5.30pm and 5.35pm on Monday evening, or if you have any CCTV, dashcam or helmet cam footage that may have captured all or part of this incident, please get in touch.
