|
Hello residents, I hope this message finds you well. As we move through March into April, I wanted to share a quick round-up of what’s been happening across our local area, what’s coming up, and how we’re working together to keep our community safe and thriving. 🔍 Local Priorities - Our current focus areas include: We are aware of ongoing reports of youth related ASB in this area, with concerns being raised from residents. The issues brought to our attention are the kicking and knocking of resident’s doors and loitering by properties The team are continuing patrols in this locality and linking in with our local partners. CCTV enquiries are on-going and some IDs have been made, and home visits will be made in due course. We’re continuing patrols and targeted operations across our wards and welcome any feedback or concerns you’d like to raise. 🤝 Partnership Working We’ve been working closely with: These collaborations are helping us respond more effectively and holistically to community needs. Volunteer Opportunity- Street Watch- We need you 😊 Street Watch is a community-led project. It’s made up of groups of volunteers who are at least 18 years old. The groups go out and patrol their area. The patrols help to stop crime and anti-social behaviour. They also help people in the area get to know each other. As a Street Watch member, you'll patrol your local area alongside one of your neighbours for at least two hours every month, at times which suit you. You'll talk to people you meet and encourage them to take an active interest in keeping your area safe. So, your neighbours know what you're there for, you wear a high-visibility Street Watch jacket. You'll be supported by: Become part of Street Watch If you’d like to be involved in Street Watch, sign up for WM now, click the Street Watch button, and request to join a group.
