Theft of Motor Vehicle and Theft from Motor Vehicle - HEATBROW ROAD.

Dear Resident

Between 22:00 on the 25th of March 2026 to 07:30 on the 26th of March 2026, a theft of a vehicle occurred in Heathbrow Road, Welwyn.

Between the above specified times, unknown offender(s) have gained access to the vehicle by unknown means, and have then left in an unknown direction.

Further to the above there was also a theft from vehicle in the same location between 2215 on the 25th of March to 09:30 on the 26th of March 2026, in which number plates were stolen from the vehicle. If you have any information in relation to this crime please contact the police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime number 41/27900/26.

Tips to prevent vehicle crime:

Ensure you lock doors and shut windows/sunroof when leaving your vehicle unattended.

Always remove keys from the ignition when you are not with the vehicle

When parking, remember to set your immobiliser or alarm or use an approved steering lock or gear lever clamp.

Never leave valuables in your vehicle – not even in the glove box or boot – and keep all possessions out of sight – even coats, sunglasses and carrier bags.

Be aware of your keys. Don’t leave them visible on a windowsill or near to your front door, where they could be “hooked” through the letterbox or a keyless signal can be received by relay devices.

If you have a keyless entry car use a signal blocking bag and consider using additional trackers, steering wheel locks or ghost immobilisers.

Store car ownership documents at home, not in your car.
