I wanted to provide you an update regarding Personal theft (e.g. pick pocketing, no violence used), which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

Please be aware of distraction thefts inside banks. We have recently had reports of victims using the service till from inside a bank where members of public had started talking to the victim where the card was eventually stolen by means of distraction. . If you see anyone near you whilst using your card, or if anyone starts to speak to you, please be aware this may be a distraction technique. Please alert a member of staff if something doesn't feel right. Withdrawing cash from inside the bank still remains the safest way.
