PACT priorities update
PACT Priority 1 – Parking
BCBC patrol vehicle has patrolled several locations across the ward and vehicles sighted committing offences will be dealt with by details in the post. BCBC Enforcement Officers have also been patrolling areas on foot and have issued tickets for vehicles parked on double yellow lines and obstructing tactile dropped kerbs. Targeted Police patrols (Mobile and foot) resulted in vehicles being moved on and drivers educated on road safety concerns.
PACT Priority 2 – Fly Tipping
As a result of complaints, the lane linking Glan Road and Mackworth Road was cleaned by BCBC. Items left to the side of New Brogden pub have been removed. Regular Police patrols were carried out at hotspot locations.
Residents’ concerns
Parking concerns – Outside Brogden pub and lane to side that links New Road to Nicholls Avenue
Rhych Avenue – Campervans being abandoned
E-Bikes/Scooters – Vehicles being used inappropriately
Travelling Fair – Behind Aldi – Concerns for lack of parking and resources for three scheduled firework displays.
