Chief Constable and Commissioner back to answer more questions at online public meeting |
||
Residents across Northamptonshire are again being given the opportunity to put their questions on crime and policing to Chief Constable Ivan Balhatchet and Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner Danielle Stone at an online public meeting later this month. Ivan and Danielle will be live on Facebook and YouTube between 6:30pm and 8pm on Tuesday, March 31, answering questions from members of the public about topics that matter most to them. During the first online public meeting in October, Ivan and Danielle received more than a hundred questions on topics ranging from road safety to anti-social behaviour and police visibility. This second meeting will give Ivan and Danielle the opportunity to update viewers on the actions that were taken from the earlier livestream, as well as answering new questions from the public. Questions about any policing or community safety issue are welcomed – potentially covering subjects such as neighbourhood policing, violence against women and girls, retail crime and town centre safety, road safety or funding. Questions can be sent now via email to:chiefschat@northants.police.uk or can be asked live during the broadcast on Facebook or YouTube. Ivan and Danielle will answer as many questions as they can in the time available and the names of anyone asking a question will not be read out during the broadcast. Chief Constable Ivan Balhatchet said: “This is a great way for us to listen to people from our county. Being accessible and visible is important to me and through the livestream, I can give answers or reassurance on issues that matter to people.” Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner Danielle Stone said: “I was so pleased with the engagement we had with the last livestream, which is another way for us to reach out to people and listen to their concerns. I also see this as part of my role of holding Chief Constable to account for delivering effecting policing to the county. “As well as answering new questions that come in, we’ll feedback on the 13 actions the Chief Constable and I took away after the last livestream so that people can see we are really listening to what they have to say." | ||
