New Fatal Five Team first month round-up
More than 150 tickets have been issued for traffic offences across Sussex since Sussex Police’s Fatal Five Unit launched on 29 January.
The team have also seized more than 30 vehicles for no insurance, made more than 20 arrests and supported more than 25 Community SpeedWatch sessions where speed has been identified as an issue.
Locally in East Sussex this includes the results from Alfriston, Nutley and Heathfield.
The Fatal Five Unit was set up specifically to tackle the five most common causes of fatal and serious injury collisions:
Drink and drug-driving Speeding Failing to wear a seatbelt Distracted driving Careless driving
