📢 Neighbourhood Alert – Parcel Delivery Vigilance

Dear Residents,

We would like to make you aware of a recent incident in Ratby involving a suspicious parcel delivery. A Royal Mail delivery was attempted at a local address, but the parcel was addressed to the wrong name. The resident, recognising this, rightly refused to sign for it.

A short time later, a male wearing what appeared to be a Royal Mail–style jacket attended the address. He stated that if the resident signed for the parcel when it was next delivered, he would return to collect it, and he offered to leave his contact details. The resident appropriately declined. The male remained in the vicinity for approximately four hours, which caused the resident to feel uneasy. He was described as articulate and persistent, though not aggressive.

Please be extra vigilant with parcels delivered to your home.
If a parcel is not in your name, or something feels unusual, you are under no obligation to accept or sign for it.
