Weekly Update from your local Sherbourne NPT
Dear Members Here’s your weekly update from myself and the rest of the team.
What’s Been Happening . Burglaries NO Burglaries reported this week 😊
If you have any door or window alarms, attach them to your garage or shed. The noise alone, when activated, would be a deterrent. Always make sure your home is locked and secure before leaving. Let’s not make it easy for the burglar. . Vehicle Crime There have been two reports of vehicles being stolen in the past week. These happened on Evenlode Crescent and Max Road. There has also been one report of a vehicle being broken into on Grayswood Ave. Please do not, if possible, leave valuables in vehicles when they are parked up. This is temptation for the offenders.
You can mark all property with a UV marker making it easier for lost or stolen property to be returned should the worst happen. It is also a good idea to keep a record of where you marked the property and note down any serial numbers. You can register valuables at www.immobilise.com
. In other News
This week we had the privilege of attending the reopening of a Scout Hut after it had been refurbished. Great time had by all.
We have also attended a Community Safety event at Hereward College to give advice on personal safety to vulnerable students. The students loved having us there and asked a lot of questions.
We have also been conducting patrols at schools after residents reported parking issues at school drop off and pick up times. Parents have been advised for now but if they continue to park in places where they shouldn’t……tickets will be issued.
Until next week Stay safe everyone.
