Male arrested for assault, handling stolen goods and associated address has been secured by police and council.

After months of relentless teamwork and determination, officers from the Valley and Larkswood Safer Neighbourhoods team in conjunction with Waltham Forest ASB Housing team have delivered a significant blow to persistent anti-social behaviour affecting the community. 

One individual, who has been causing disruption in the Chingford Mount area has today been arrested for assault and handling stolen goods, following the successful execution of a search warrant at a Chingford address.  An investigation is now ongoing under Op Retail to match the seized stolen items with reported shoplifting cases.

The address associated with this individual and known to the police and council for complaints of rowdy and inconsiderate behaviour has been secured by police, boarded up safely and returned to the ownership of the council.
