What has our team been doing? Officers of the Bartley Green Neighbourhood team have been giving a helping hand to our fellow officers across the force, by helping with jobs that come in and crime scenes what need to be managed, helping to keep the demand down to a manageable level, what help allows us to have more officers attend calls and help those in need.

What’s been occurring in Bartley Green Since the last WMNOW message, we have received three thefts from a motor vehicle within the area of Bartley Green. We advise you to take out any valuables such as your wallets or bags etc, as these items will attract attention to your vehicles, as these are the items they will look to take from within your car.
Since the last WMNOW message, we have received two reports of a burglary within Bartley Green. We advise you the following. Check that all windows and doors are shut closed and are locked. We also advise that you install CCTV to help make your home more secure as the cameras will be a deterrent to anyone thinking of breaking into your home.
Additional Information We regularly deal with drivers who obstruct the footpath leaving no room for people to get past, as well as cars parking in a way where it obstructs your view of the road. But the issue we have is that we are not always there to tackle and deal with these issues in person. So below is a link what takes you to the West Midlands Police website page where you can report car’s obstructing the pavement, obstructing your view of the road, and even vehicles parking in keep clear zones and double yellow lines. We encourage residents to register their home/business CCTV and doorbell cameras, as this helps us to solve crimes and get a positive outcome, as your CCTV cameras can provide us the appropriate footage what captures the crime in question. This helps us solves crimes but also helps to keep your community safer. Use the link below to register your CCTV cameras by putting in the relevant details what the West Midlands Police website asks of you CCTV Registry | West Midlands Police
As of this moment we currently have 1002 members signed up to Bartley Green on wmnow. If you know someone who may have an interest in joining, then please share them this links below, so that they can fill out the boxes the websites ask of them.
We are still experiencing an increase of demand from across the area over the last few weeks, with more people calling and asking for help. Our staff work extremely hard to answer and respond to your calls and live chats. But due to the high demand it can cause callers to have to wait longer than they should, what is something neither of us want at all. We prioritize your enquires/calls based on how urgent they are, but we always appreciate that you want help as soon as possible.
In Non-emergencies circumstances, we want you to get in contact with us through the live web chat, or the Non-emergency telephone 101.
If your circumstances are emergencies, then please call 999.
We are still looking to recruit for the Street watch initiative. For further information please visit the WMP website for details. You can use the link below what will take you to our page where the necessary steps to register your interest in the street watch programme, can be made. Street Watch | West Midlands Police
