Stolen motocross bike recovered in Cuffley |
||
|
We have recovered a stolen motocross bike in Cuffley. The bike was found by officers from the Welwyn Hatfield South Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) in Maynard Place yesterday (Sunday 22 March). A number of suspects made off from the scene on motocross bikes and left behind three helmets which have been seized. Enquiries established that the recovered bike was on false plates and had been stolen from Devon. Further enquiries are now underway to identify those involved in the theft. PC Ashley Masters, from the Welwyn Hatfield South NPT, said: “The rightful owner of the bike has been informed and he is over the moon that it will be getting returned to him. “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish those responsible and I would encourage anyone with information to get in touch.” You can report information online at herts.police.uk/report, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat at herts.police.uk/contact or call the non-emergency number 101, quoting ISR 172 of 22 March. Alternatively, you can stay 100% anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org.
