Appeal for Information – Dog Attack in Wormwood Scrubs Park

I wanted to provide an update regarding Dangerous dogs, which people around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey.

On Tuesday 17 March 2026, at around the time of CAD 3728/17MAR26, a resident was walking her dog in Wormwood Scrubs Park, W12 when they were approached by a brown XL Bully‑type dog off the lead. The dog attacked the victim’s dog and also bit the victim on the hand, causing injury.
The incident took place near the western exit of Wormwood Scrubs onto Braybrook Street, close to Old Oak Primary School.
We understand this may be concerning for local residents, and we are asking for your help:

👤 Do you know who owns the brown XL Bully‑type dog?
👥 Did you see two males sitting on a bench with the dog shortly before the attack?
If you have any information, no matter how small, please contact the College Park and Old Oak Safer Neighbourhood Team.
Your information may help us identify the dog’s owner and prevent further incidents.

It’s an offence to let a dog be dangerously out of control whether that’s in public or private.

A dog is considered to be out of control if it:

• injures someone
• makes someone worried that it might injure them

A court could also decide that your dog is dangerously out of control if:

• it attacks someone’s animal
• the owner of an animal thinks they could be injured if they tried to stop your dog attacking their animal

In the UK, it's against the law to own certain types of dogs and this is dependent on what it looks like, rather than its breed or name.
